Do you work with companies that have no analytics setup?+

Yes. This is actually our sweet spot. Many of our clients come to us with either:

We handle everything from initial implementation to training your team. You don't need existing analytics infrastructure or an in-house data person to work with us.

Which markets do you serve?+

We serve all GCC markets (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar) and the EU.

Our delivery model is remote-first: we conduct kickoff, implementation, and training via video call, with dashboards and reports accessible 24/7. For custom implementation clients we include quarterly on-site visits for strategy sessions and team workshops.

What if we're a small team with no data person?+

That's exactly who we built General Dataworks for. You don't need a data analyst, BI specialist, or technical marketing team.

We handle all technical planning, configuration, and maintenance. What we need from you is:

The value you get depends on two factors:

  1. Data volume: Time to first meaningful insights depends on how much user data your business generates. Higher-traffic sites and applications see results faster.

  2. Action on insights: Return on investment ultimately depends on decisions you make based on the insights we provide and how quickly you implement our recommendations.

What we commit to:

  • Working analytics infrastructure within agreed timelines
  • Clear, actionable dashboards your team can use
  • Regular insights and recommendations based on your data
  • Honest assessment of what the data shows

We tie our work to your business KPIs and review progress regularly. If we're not delivering value we'll tell you.

Do you offer pilot or trial projects?+

Yes. We have packages designed exactly for pilots and trials for a one-time fee with no ongoing commitment:

  • Analytics Audit: We review your current setup and deliver a prioritised roadmap
  • Dashboard MVP: We build a working dashboard within 21 days so you can evaluate our work

Many clients use a pilot or trial to test our approach before committing to a retainer. There's no obligation to continue. Ask about current promotional offers that we may be offering.

What are your payment terms?+

We require cleared payment of 50% of the value of your setup fees before beginning work. This ensures we can dedicate resources to your project without delay.

  • Setup fee: 50% due before work begins based on agreed scope of work
  • Monthly retainer: Billed monthly in advance
  • Payment methods: Credit card (Stripe), bank transfer
  • Invoicing: Issued on the 1st of each month, due within 30 days
Do you require long-term contracts?+

No. Our standard terms are:

  • Minimum commitment: 3 months. To allow time for implementation and initial results
  • After initial term: Month-to-month. Extend as needed with 30 days notice to cancel

We believe in earning your business monthly and not locking you in.

Are there any additional costs I should budget for?+

In most cases, no. The tools we implement (Google Analytics, Google tag Manager, Looker Studio) are free or very low cost for the majority of businesses.

In the case of third-party integrations some connectors may have licensing or usage fees.

We'll flag any potential additional costs during our discovery before you commit. Any tools requiring paid subscriptions remain your responsibility to procure.

For our Starter and Growth packages the process and timeline usually looks like this:

How long does implementation take?+

We're significantly faster than traditional consultancies because we use proven frameworks and focus exclusively on analytics vs. trying to sell you adjacent services.

How do we communicate during the project?+

You'll have a dedicated point of contact for your account. No support tickets or call centres.

  • Primary channels: Teams, Slack, email and Whatsapp
  • Video calls: Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet for scheduled sessions
What access do you need from us?+

To complete implementation, we need access to:

  • Google Analytics: Admin access to your Google Analytics property (we can help create one if needed)
  • Google Tag Manager: Admin access (or we can create a new container)
  • Website: Ability to have Google Tag Manager code added to your site (one-time, usually via your developer or CMS/hosting platform)
  • Ad platforms: Viewer access to Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc. for attribution reporting

We provide step-by-step instructions for granting access and can walk you through it on a call.

How much of my team's time is required?+

How soon will I see my first dashboard/report?+

Usually within 21 days from kickoff. We prioritise getting a working MVP dashboard live quickly so you can:

  • Start seeing real data immediately
  • Provide feedback before we build further
  • Demonstrate progress to internal stakeholders

We refine and expand from there based on your input. Note: The depth of insights depends greatly on how much user data flows through from your platforms during this period. Higher traffic volumes means faster results.

Regional/GCC Specific

Do you work in Arabic?+

Our primary working language is English, which covers:

  • All client communication
  • Dashboard interfaces and reports
  • Documentation and training

Dashboards can display Arabic data (product names, locations, etc.) without issue. If Arabic-language reporting is critical for your stakeholders please mention this during discovery so we can discuss the available options.

Can you visit on-site if needed?+

Yes. Any on-site visit needs to be scheduled in advance. Two weeks notice will be required for visits outside of the UAE.

On-site visits are charged separately from packages and costs will depend on specific country and season.

Additional on-site visits can be arranged at cost for any service tier. We're Dubai-based, making GCC travel straightforward.

Do you understand GCC market specifics?+

Yes. We are based in the GCC and have built our practice specifically around GCC market needs:

  • Understanding of regional business practices and decision-making
  • Awareness of local digital landscape and consumer behaviour
  • Experience with regional platforms and providers
  • Sensitivity to cultural and regulatory considerations

Our focus on the GCC markets means we're not trying to apply generic global playbooks to your requirements.

What time zone do you operate in?+

We are based in Dubai, UAE and operate on GCC business hours and working days:

  • Core hours: 9am - 6pm GST (Sunday-Thursday)
  • Response times: Within 24 hours during the work week
  • Scheduling: We can accommodate client time zones for calls if arranged in advance

For EU clients we maintain overlap during morning hours and can schedule calls accordingly during this period.

What's included in your analytics setup?+

Our Starter package includes:

  • Google Analytics configuration: Full property configuration optimised for your business
  • Google Tag Manager setup: Container with up to 10 core events tracking key user actions
  • Looker Studio dashboard: Custom-built reporting dashboard with your key metrics
  • Documentation: Setup guide and event tracking reference for your team
  • Training session: 45-minute walkthrough so your team can use the dashboard independently

Higher tiers (Growth and Enterprise) add conversion optimisation, A/B testing frameworks, and predictive analytics, etc.

Do you provide ongoing support or just setup?+

Both options are available:

One-time projects: Our packages deliver specific outcomes - an audit, an implementation plan, a dashboard, or a testing framework - without ongoing commitment. We occasionally offer promotional discounts on these packages.

Retainer engagements: Our Starter, Growth, and Enterprise packages include ongoing support: regular reporting, continuous optimisation, and access to our team for questions and guidance.

Most clients start with a pilot or one-time project to test our work quality then move to a retainer once they see results.

What does a typical dashboard look like?+

Our dashboards are built in Looker Studio (a popular business intelligence tool from Google) and designed for non-technical users.

A typical dashboard includes:

  • Traffic overview (sources, trends, geography)
  • Conversion funnel visualisation
  • Key event tracking (signups, purchases, enquiries)
  • Marketing channel performance
  • Custom metrics specific to your business

What's not included in your services?+

To set clear expectations our analytics services do not include:

  • Advertising management: We track and report on ad performance but don't run campaigns
  • Creative production: We don't design ads, landing pages, or marketing assets
  • Website development: We don't build or modify websites
  • Third-party tool subscriptions: Any tools requiring paid subscriptions remain the client's responsibility
  • 24/7 support: Our team operates during GCC business hours 9am - 6pm (Sunday-Thursday)

Technical & Data

Can you integrate data from multiple sources?+

Yes. We use Looker Studio's native connectors for most integrations. Currently there are over 1000 available. See the Google Looker Studio Connectors Catalogue for details. Many are free to use but some may incur additional license and usage fees.

In cases where complex ETL, data cleaning and warehousing is required we can develop a custom project plan to suit you needs.

How do you handle data privacy and security?+

We take data privacy and security seriously:

  • Access: We only request the minimum access needed to complete work
  • Storage: We don't store or process your data outside of the platforms you own and control
  • Compliance: Our implementations follow privacy-first design principles
  • Confidentiality: All client information is treated as confidential and is ringfenced

For clients with specific compliance requirements (PDPL, GDPR, etc.), we can discuss additional measures during discovery.

Will we own the dashboards and data?+

Absolutely. You own and control everything:

  • All tracking is configured in your Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager accounts
  • All dashboards are built in your Looker Studio account
  • All documentation is yours to keep

If you stop working with us everything continues to function. We can also provide handover documentation for your internal team or next agency.

We don't believe vendor lock-in is a viable business model. So we don't do it.

Do you work with Shopify/Wordpress/custom platforms?+

Yes. We can work with most major platforms:

  • E-commerce: Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Salesforce, custom builds
  • CMS/DXP: Wordpress, Webflow, Framer, Duda, custom sites.
  • Apps: iOS, Android

Our implementation approach adapts to your platform. We can adjust our methods based on your specific setup.

What if we already have Google Analytics but it's not set up properly?+

This is common. Many companies have Google Analytics properties that were set-up for them as part of a website or application build but it was never properly configured.

We offer two services specifically focused on fixing incorrectly configured setups.

  • Analytics Audit: We assess your current setup, identify gaps, and provide a prioritised remediation plan
  • Analytics Remediation: We reconfigure your existing property correctly, preserving historical data where possible

Either way we'll get your tracking working properly.

Trust & Credibility

Who will actually work on my account?+

Your account will be managed by one of our founders and be supported by our specialist analytics team.

  • Founders: Handle strategy, planning, client relationships, and quality assurance
  • Analytics specialists: Execute implementation, build dashboards, configure tracking

We're a focused team not a large agency. You'll know exactly who's working on your project and have direct access to them.

Where is your team located?+

We're based in Dubai, UAE and align with common GCC working hours.

  • Business hours: 9am-6pm GST, Sunday-Thursday
  • On-site visits: On demand with two weeks notice
Are you certified in the tools you use?+

Yes. Our team holds current training and certifications on our primary delivery platforms including:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Looker Studio

We maintain active certifications and stay current with platform updates.

What happens if I'm not satisfied?+

We address concerns directly:

  • During implementation: We iterate based on your feedback until the deliverable meets agreed specifications
  • During retainer period: Monthly check-ins ensure we're aligned; and you can cancel with 30 days notice after the initial 3-month term
  • Quality issues: If our work doesn't meet professional standards we'll fix it at no additional cost

Our business depends on client success and referrals. If something isn't working we want to know immediately so we can put it right.

Can I speak with a current or past client?+

Yes. Once we've had an initial conversation and confirmed mutual fit we can connect you with relevant references.

We typically arrange reference calls after the discovery stage, so we can match you with clients in similar industries or with comparable challenges.

How long have you been doing this?+

Our founders bring extensive experience in digital analytics, marketing technology, and business intelligence.

We established General Dataworks to address a gap we saw in the market: growing companies in the GCC and EU need sophisticated analytics capabilities to compete but can't justify enterprise consulting fees or don't have time for lengthy implementations.
